SoHo Loft Kitchen

The challenge

This loft already had the bones people move to SoHo for — tin ceiling, brick, and street-facing windows. The kitchen had to sit in that envelope without hiding the architecture. A media wall needed to carry a television, storage, and wiring without looking like a box stuck on a historic wall. Freight access and neighbor-facing work hours limited how much could happen in a day.

Scope of work

• Custom oak kitchen cabinetry and marble island
• Farmhouse sink, range, and integrated refrigeration
• Open shelving on existing exposed brick
• Custom white media wall and storage millwork
• Lighting, plumbing, and finish carpentry in the loft footprint
• Building protection and work-hour sequencing

The outcome

The finished loft has a flat-panel oak kitchen, farmhouse sink, marble island, open shelves on brick, and a custom white media wall. Living and kitchen read as one room. Millwork is the visible work; the sequencing was keeping historic surfaces intact while new cabinets, stone, and lighting went in.
