Transitional Kitchen and Great Room

The challenge

The house needed a kitchen that could carry a large island, a pro range, and a wet bar without looking like a showroom. The two-story living room wanted a fireplace that read as architecture, not a box on the wall. Millwork in walnut had to match the island and the bar.

The outcome

White shaker cabinets, a walnut island, herringbone backsplash, lantern pendants, and a Wolf range sit on polished stone floors. The great room has a floor-to-ceiling black marble fireplace under a coffered ceiling. A walnut wet bar with wine storage sits off the kitchen.
